Who is Jim?

I currently teach graphic and web design at Utah Valley University, located in Orem, UT. I say graphic AND web design because some people think graphic design only applies to print media. It really applies to both print and web. A more inclusive term would be communication design, because that is what I teach people to do.

I also do consulting and freelance work. The portfolio section of my web site has a lot of examples. I love designing for the web and as such am a big user of css. I also enjoy working in Flash.

The purpose of this site is to dispense opinions (usually mine) and information about things related to design.
